Community Clean-Up in Lansot Village for a Clean and Healthy Environment

Lansot, Tomohon – Residents of Lansot Village along with the Village Government carried out a mass cooperative clean-up action on Tuesday, May 19. This activity was initiated directly by the Head of Lansot Village (Lurah), Olvie Erwin Mandagi, S.Pd, as part of efforts to periodically maintain environmental cleanliness and anticipate potential puddles and flooding ahead of the rainy season.

The clean-up action focused on several crucial points in Lansot Village, including clearing drainage channels along the main road, cutting wild grass on the roadsides, and organizing public areas around the village hall. The spirit of partnership and mutual cooperation (mapalus) was strongly felt, as residents from various neighborhoods voluntarily worked together, bringing their own cleaning tools.

“Cooperative activities like this community clean-up are noble traditions that we must continuously preserve. In addition to making our environment clean, neat, beautiful, and secure (BERIMAN), it also strengthens the ties between residents of Lansot Village,” said Lurah Olvie Erwin Mandagi during the activity.

The Lansot Village Government also highly appreciated the active participation of all residents and hoped that the awareness not to litter in drainage systems would be continuously maintained. A clean environment reflects a healthy and harmonious community.
